New R300 Off-Ramps Opened at Brackengate 2!

On Thursday, 23 March 2017, Mayor of Cape Town Patricia de Lille formally opened the new on and off-ramps linking the R300 up with Bottelary Road, bringing an end to traffic congestion in the area and significantly reducing travelling time to the N1 highway.

The R60 million road project – a partnership between the City, the province, Sanral and private sector developers – was originally conceptualised four years ago and began construction a year ago, creating 100 jobs worth R28.5 million. Promising to unlock easy access to Brackengate 2 from the free-flowing highway that connects the site with the N1, motorists are already “in love” with the new off-ramps.

This accessibility has already proved to be a major drawcard to retailers such as Fruit and Veg City and Shoprite, both of which are setting up massive regional distribution centres in this increasingly popular logistics and light industrial node.
